Lanark OPP looking for information in Highway 7 hit-and-run collision

Police in Lanark County are looking to identify a driver who reportedly hit another vehicle on Highway 7 and failed to remain at the scene.

The incident occurred in Beckwith Township just before 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.

Police state in a press release that a dark coloured, two-door vehicle, possibly with a red stripe and matte paint, struck a stopped car.

“This vehicle then left the scene heading westbound on Highway 7, which resulted in multiple traffic complaints,” police say.

The vehicle in question is believed to have substantial front-end damage as a result of this collision.
