Portion of Highway 43 in Port Elmsley closed for structure fire

UPDATE: Smiths Falls’ Costello and Company Monuments destroyed by fire

Just before 3 p.m. on Monday, July 22, Lanark OPP posted to X that a portion of Highway 43 is closed due to a structure fire.

Specifically, the highway is closed in both directions between Mazie Street and Best Road in Port Elmsley.

Police are advising the public to please avoid the area.
