Do you know a young person who would like to develop their volleyball skills?

Mississippi Mills is looking to gauge interest in a potential recreational youth volleyball program, and would like to hear from youth aged 10 to 17 who have an interest in playing recreational volleyball.

“There is no commitment at this point,” reads a media release from the municipality. “However, in order to make this program successful, we need volunteers/community leaders to run the program.”

This is an opportunity for those who have experience playing volleyball and would enjoy the opportunity to work with youth in a fun environment.

Interested players can email programs@mississippimills.ca, indicating their age and grade and if you would prefer to play in Almonte or Pakenham.

Leaders can also email programs@mississippimills.ca and indicate their experience, evenings they’re available, and if they would prefer to run a program in Almonte or Pakenham. Criminal reference checks would be required before the start of the program.

“Hopefully, we can launch this program in the fall to provide more recreational opportunities for youth in our community,” the release concludes. “The program would group youth according to ages.”
