Feedback sought on future of Smiths Falls Youth Arena

What do you think is the best way forward for the Smiths Falls Youth Arena?

The town wants your feedback, and is conducting a feasibility study concerning the future direction of the Youth Arena. Resident input is being sought through an online survey, with the purpose of gaining insight from the community on current usage, recommendations on future use, and what the demand may be for the recreational facilities within Smiths Falls moving forward.

“The Youth Arena Feasibility Study presents an important opportunity for the Town of Smiths Falls to evaluate the future of one of our key recreational facilities,” stated Stephanie Clark, director of community services in a media release. “As we continue to grow and adapt to the changing needs of our community, this study will help us understand how best to invest in our recreational infrastructure. It will allow us to assess the condition of the facility, explore opportunities for modernization, and ensure that we are providing safe, accessible, and sustainable spaces for our residents.”

Clark added that ultimately, this study is about planning for the future of recreation in Smiths Falls and making informed decisions that will benefit the entire community for years to come.

Residents are encouraged to provide feedback and participate in the survey, which will be available until Sept. 30. The study is expected to be completed by mid-December. Learn more at the project page on the town’s website.
