Planned power outage for Almonte Sept. 29

A planned power outage affecting Almonte will take place on on Sunday, Sept. 29.

A media release from the Ottawa River Power Corporation (ORPC) says they were informed by Hydro One that there will be an outage from about 6 a.m. to 1 p.m on Sept. 29.

This outage is required to allow Hydro One to safely install new equipment on their system, which will impact our supply from the transmission system feeding Almonte.

“We understand that power outages are inconvenient, and we apologize for any disruption this may cause,” the media release reads. “Unfortunately, this was the earliest possible time we could confirm and communicate this outage based on the information provided by Hydro One.:
