Two construction projects to be aware of in Carleton Place this week: Oct. 15 – 18

The Town of Carleton Place has informed the public of two construction projects that will take place this week (Oct. 15 – 18).

Residents are reminded that weather can adversely impact this proposed schedule.

Lemaistre, Blair, and Alexander Streets

Crews will be reinstating asphalt driveways and walkways that were impacted by construction.
 
Nelson Street West

Now that the sidewalks have been constructed, Cavanagh Construction will be grading granular materials in preparation for base course asphalt late this week. Once the base course asphalt is complete, crews will adjust the iron structures within the roadway and begin landscaping repairs where lawns were damaged during construction.
 
For safety purposes, the town encourages folks to avoid these active construction areas; residents are advised follow posted signage, and the directions provided by traffic control personnel when they are present. Should you have any questions or concerns, call (613) 257-2253.
