Lanark County residents are invited to taste new cuisines, take in live performances, and celebrate diversity in the region next month in Perth.

The Town of Perth, Algonquin College, the Lanark County Rural Inclusion Project, Local Immigration Partnership, The Table Community Food Centre, as well as dedicated community volunteers, are collaborating to present the first annual Perth Multicultural Food Fair.

This free event is set to take place on Sunday, Feb. 9 at Algonquin College, Perth Campus. Doors will open at 11 a.m., inviting the community to enjoy a delightful and diverse array of foods and live entertainment, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the region.

The event will feature food prepared by local community members, honouring the culinary traditions of nine different countries from around the world. This celebration of global flavours offers an opportunity to taste authentic dishes while connecting with people from different cultures. Attendees can also expect live entertainment aimed at enhancing the multicultural atmosphere.

The Multicultural Food Fair is made possible through the generous support of the Perth and District Community Foundation (PDCF), whose funding has helped bring this event to life. Other key sponsors include Giant Tiger and Barnabe’s Your Independent Grocer.
