Mississippi River Health Alliance seeks board members to shape future of local healthcare

The Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) is calling for dedicated individuals to join its Allied Boards of Directors, starting in July 2025. As a partnership between Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital, MRHA plays a pivotal role in guiding the future of healthcare services in the region.
The Allied Boards are responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to four key entities: Almonte General Hospital, Fairview Manor, Lanark County Paramedic Service, and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital. Board members oversee critical aspects of performance and decision-making that directly impact healthcare delivery in the community.
MRHA is seeking candidates with diverse skills, particularly those with experience in healthcare (clinical) leadership, information technology, or legal expertise. Previous board membership or senior leadership experience will be considered valuable assets.
To be eligible, candidates must be at least 18 years old and either reside or work within the communities served by MRHA. Please note that members of the professional staff, employees, and their immediate family members are ineligible unless granted an exception by a majority vote of the Allied Boards of Directors.
The deadline for applications is Friday, April 11. The Governance and Nominating Committee will then review applications, interview potential candidates, and make recommendations for board approval. Interested individuals can obtain application forms online at www.mrha.ca or by contacting the office of the president & CEO via phone at 613-256-2514 ext. 2220 or email at agh.info@mrha.ca.
