Lanark County resident charged with accessing child pornography following police search

A 10-month long child exploitation investigation has led at a 37-year-old man facing a child pornography charge in Tay Valley.

Lanark County OPP say in a Wednesday, April 16 media release that officers began an investigation in June of 2024, involving a suspect accessing child pornography. With assistance from the Lanark County Crime Unit and the Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, a search warrant was executed at a residence and devices were seized.

Police say these devices were found to contain images of child pornography. 

Brandon Adams, 37, was arrested on Wednesday, April 16 and charged with accessing child pornography.

This charge has not been proven in court.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 16.
