Carleton Place residents invited to pitch-in for spring clean-up

Residents of Carleton Place are being called on to roll up their sleeves, grab their loved ones, and help clean up local parks and trails as part of Pitch-In 2025, the town’s annual spring clean-up initiative.
The event, organized by the Town’s Recreation and Culture Department, encourages individuals, families, schools, and community groups to take part in the clean-up effort anytime throughout the week of April 21 and April 27, 2025.
While Saturday, April 26 has been designated as the official “Pitch-In Day,” organizers say volunteers are welcome to join anytime throughout the week and are encouraging participants to share photos of their progress on social media along the way.
Participants are asked to leave their filled bags next to garbage cans at local parks or trails for collection by municipal staff. The town will provide disposable gloves and garbage bags to help with the task.
“We’d love to see residents out in their neighbourhoods making a difference,” said Jessica Hansen, Recreation and Culture Programmer. “It’s a great opportunity to give back to our community and help keep Carleton Place beautiful.”
Anyone wishing to register can contact Hansen at jhansen@carletonplace.ca or call 613-257-1704.
