‘Do not approach’: Lanark OPP looking for suspect after alleged break-in, assaults, intentional collision with cruiser

A Lanark County man is wanted on arrest warrants after a break-in early Thursday morning that led to a police cruiser being rammed during a pursuit in Smiths Falls.
Police say in an April 17 media release that a disturbance was reported to Lanark OPP early that morning just before 1 a.m. at a residence in Mississippi Mills Township.
“An individual broke in and proceeded to destroy property,” police say. “The person then fled the scene in a black Nissan Versa with either stolen or no plates attached.”
A short time later, an OPP officer from Leeds County located the vehicle at a gas station in Smiths Falls.
“When the officer attempted to block the vehicle in, the driver deliberately crashed into the cruiser and then fled the scene,” the release says.
Police investigated and learned that the same person had attended the same Mississippi Mills residence on Tuesday, April 15, when several individuals were assaulted
Arrest warrants have been issued for Dylan Greene, 24, of Lanark County. Charges include break and enter, mischief, possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm, as well as several probation-related and Highway Traffic Act charges.
The OPP believes these were targeted incidents and there was no risk to public safety.
“Lanark OPP County urges Dylan Greene to turn himself in to police,” police say, urging the public not to approach the suspect if spotted.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
