Perth mayor Judy Brown resumes duties

The Town of Perth said on Wednesday, April 23 that Mayor Judy Brown has resumed all mayoral responsibilities and duties following a temporary leave to focus on her health.

Brown stepped away at the beginning of February. During that time Deputy Mayor Ed McPherson temporarily assumed all mayoral communication responsibilities, including public statements, interviews, correspondence, and external meetings. Mayor Brown took a similar leave of absence almost exactly one year ago on Jan. 30, 2024.

“Mayor Brown extends her thanks to Council and to the community for their continued support,” the media release reads.
