Nominate your neighbourhood for a 2025 Carleton Place Park Party

The Town of Carleton Place is calling on residents to nominate their local green space for a chance to host one of four Neighbourhood Park Parties this year. These free family-friendly events are designed to bring neighbours together, foster more community engagement and celebrate the local parks you know and love.
Described as a grassroots celebration of community spirit, Neighbourhood Park Parties are open to everyone and completely free of charge. The Town will support the selected parks by providing a range of amenities, including yard games, a speaker system, plastic tables, and tents for the parties (subject to availability). In return, residents who nominate a park will be asked to help rally local volunteers to assist with organizing the event.
“Park Parties are about making connections, building community, and enjoying the outdoors together,” said Town officials in a release on Thursday, April 24, 2025. “It’s a celebration of the people and places that make Carleton Place home.”
To make each Park Party unique from the rest, applicants are also encouraged to propose ideas and activities to enhance the experience. Monetary grants of up to $200 per park are available to help fund additional features, such as snacks, live entertainment, or kid-friendly accessories like balloons and bubbles.
