Lanark County and the Town of Smiths Falls are conducting a Rural Transit Feasibility Study to explore solutions for improving regional transportation options.

The study will evaluate existing challenges, identify service gaps, and recommend strategies to improve mobility for residents and visitors across the county. The consulting firm Arcadis has been retained through a competitive process to support the project.

Residents are invited to attend one of several upcoming drop-in sessions to speak directly with the project team. No registration is required.

Drop-In Session Schedule:

  • Wednesday, May 21 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Smiths Falls Town Hall, 77 Beckwith St. North
  • Wednesday, May 21 – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Perth & District Pool, 3 Sunset Blvd., Perth
  • Thursday, May 22 – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Almonte Library, 155 High St., Mississippi Mills

Those unable to attend in person are encouraged to complete an online survey to share their feedback. Input from the public will help guide the direction of the final report.
