RCMP Musical Ride to gallop into Spencerville Fair for historic one-time show

Canadian history is trotting into town.
In a major win for Eastern Ontario, the legendary Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Musical Ride is saddling up for a special performance at the 170th Spencerville Fair on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. But this isn’t just another stop on their national tour.
In fact, Spencerville will be the only fair in Ontario to host the Musical Ride this year—sharing the spotlight with mega-events like the Calgary Stampede, but with a little more small town charm.
“The 170th anniversary of the Spencerville Fair is a momentous occasion, and we wanted to celebrate with something truly unforgettable,” said Eric Connell, 1st Vice President of the Spencerville Agricultural Society. “Hosting the RCMP Musical Ride is not just an honour, it’s a powerful tribute to our history and a gift to our community.”
If you’ve never witnessed the Musical Ride in action, you may be in for a wild ride. The event, taking place at the Spencerville Fairgrounds, will feature 32 RCMP officers in their unmistakable uniform mounted on horses, performing cavalry drills that are perfectly synchronized to music.
First established in 1876, the RCMP Musical Ride is more than just an equestrian show—it’s an immersive opportunity to celebrate Canada’s national pride and pageantry. The Spencerville Fair itself is no stranger to keeping tradition alive as it moves into its 170th anniversary.
So mark your calendars, shine your boots, and get ready for some fun—because this September, the Mounties are riding in.
