Planned power outage to affect part of Carleton Place June 8

The Town of Carleton Place is advising residents and local businesses of a planned power outage scheduled for Sunday, June 8 from 7 a.m. to approximately 11 a.m., as Hydro One crews carry out essential equipment upgrades.

The outage will specifically impact properties located on Industrial Avenue and Smythe Road, and affected property owners are encouraged to contact Hydro One directly for further details regarding the work.

In the interest of public safety, the town is asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area during the outage and construction period. For those who must travel through, officials are urging drivers to slow down and follow all flag crews and posted signage.

“Our priority is the safety of workers and residents alike,” said the town of Carleton Place in a release. “We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while this important upgrade is underway.”
