Carleton Place beaches and splash pads open for the summer on Monday, June 16th

Get ready for some fun in the sun because summer is officially kicking off in Carleton Place next week! The town announced today that they are ready to open their popular beaches and splash pads for the 2025 season.
Starting Monday, June 16, 2025 residents and visitors can enjoy swimming, sandcastles, and sandy afternoons at two local beach destinations: Riverside Park Beach, located at 175 John Street, and Centennial Park Beach, located at 169 Joseph Street.
Both beaches will be supervised daily by lifeguards from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m and public washrooms at Riverside Park Beach will be open daily during those same hours until September 30.
If you’re looking to cool off with the kids without heading to the beach, Carleton Place also has four splash pads ready for action. Each pad is set on a timer, turning on at 8:00 a.m. and running until 8:30 p.m. every day.
Here are the locations of the four splash pads:
- Riverside Park Splash Pad – 175 John Street
- Carambeck Community Centre Splash Pad – 359 Bridge Street
- Dunlop Road Park Splash Pad – 31 Dunlop Road
- Miller’s Crossing Splash Pad – 56 Fanning Street
