The Town of Carleton Place is advising residents of continued infrastructure work scheduled for the week of June 10. The Public Works Department reminds the public that weather, staffing, and material availability may impact the construction timeline.

McNeely Avenue
Cavanagh Construction Ltd. will begin upsizing the sanitary sewer. Initial work includes removing concrete and trees within the sewer trench area, installing erosion and sediment control measures, and setting up electronic signage to notify residents of upcoming lane reductions.

Bennett Street
Crews will be replacing damaged concrete curbs as required.

Duncan Street
Work continues with the replacement of granular materials.

Ann and Brown Streets
Granular materials will continue to be replaced. A new catch basin will also be installed on Ann Street to improve drainage.

Princess Street and Findlay Avenue Sanitary Pumping Stations
Black and McDonald Ltd. crews will excavate around the existing underground infrastructure at both pumping station sites.

The Town and its contractors ask motorists to avoid these active construction areas when possible. If you must travel through a work zone, please reduce your speed and follow directions from flag crews and posted signage. The safety of residents, workers, and all road users remains the Town’s top priority.
