Almonte Town & Home Tour returns next month to support local charities

Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to explore a selection of beautiful homes and historic sites across Almonte this summer as the annual Almonte Town & Home Tour returns on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
The event, which has become a popular tradition, offers a rare look inside private homes and local landmarks to raise funds for a good cause. Proceeds will support the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation and the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, which is included in the tour.
According to the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, the tour showcases a variety of modern and historic architecture, with this year’s lineup including more than five private homes and several new stops as well. Participants will also be able to visit popular local sites such as Hummingbird Chocolate Maker, Mill of Kintail Museum, Orchard View by the Mississippi, and VODKOW – Dairy Distillery.
Vaia Dimas, Executive Director of the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation, believes this event is a way to highlight the character of the town while supporting local services.

“The Tour is such a unique way to celebrate Almonte’s charm, creativity and generosity,” Dimas said in a release on Friday, Jul. 4. “It also helps raise funds that directly support exceptional healthcare close to home as well as preserve the history and stories of the local mill workers and labourers.”
The event has sold out in previous years so organizers advise those interested to purchase tickets in advance at ticketsplease.ca
