The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to investigate a home invasion that took place in Sharbot Lake last week, and are asking for public assistance.

According to a release from the Frontenac Detachment of the OPP, shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday, Jul. 11, 2025, officers responded to a home on Gordon Cresent, where it was reported that two people, a man and woman, had entered the home armed with weapons including a knife.

Police detailed that there were no injuries and the individuals had fled the scene.

“The robbers had fled the area by the time police arrived, taking multiple items including a Sony PlayStation, musical instruments and cash. They left the scene in what was only described as a loud, silver or grey four-door car, which was last seen heading north on Gordon Crescent,” the OPP stated.

In the release, police described the suspects as follows:

  • The male is described as approximately 5’9″ (175 cm), with a thin build and short brown hair and was unshaven with a short beard.
  • The female is described as approximately 5’4″ (163 cm) and thin, with dark-brown or red hair.

“Police believe this was a targeted incident and that there is no threat to public safety,” the OPP said.
