Smiths Falls photo contest invites residents to show local pride

Smiths Falls is calling on residents and visitors to share their favourite images of the town as part of its new “Love Where You Live” photo contest.

Open now until 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2025, the contest is looking for submissions that showcase the community’s spirit — including local events, scenic spots, architecture, outdoor adventures, shopping, or dining experiences.

Winning photos will be featured in the town’s 2026 municipal calendar. Each winner will also receive $50 in Downtown Dollars to spend at participating local businesses.

Photos can be taken with a camera or phone, and all perspectives are welcome.

“Let’s shine a spotlight on the people, places, and experiences that make Smiths Falls feel like home,” says a media release from the town.

Submissions must be made online at smithsfalls.ca/lovewhereyoulive.
