Seven years later, police still searching for missing Montague man; $50,000 reward offered for successful information

Ontario Provincial Police are offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the disappearance of Robert Lambert, who went missing from his home near Smiths Falls seven years ago.
Lambert was 75 when he was last seen in early July 2018. He lived in Montague Township and required medication and assistance to travel. On Nov. 30, 2018, members of the Lanark County OPP Detachment received a report that he was missing.
Despite an extensive investigation and multiple searches, there has been no sign of Lambert. Police say that in 2018, investigators were told he had travelled to the United States, but there is no record of him crossing the border.
The Lanark County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch. Police say foul play cannot be ruled out.
Robert Lambert is described as 6’3” (191 cm) tall, with a medium build, white hair and brown eyes.
The OPP has released the below video on its East Region social media platforms.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lanark County OPP Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
