Intermittent closures on Bridge Street in Carleton Place for paving work Sept. 8

Drivers and pedestrians in Carleton Place can expect temporary disruptions on Bridge Street next Monday as National Paving carries out parking lot rehabilitation near The Thirsty Moose and The Little German Bakery.

According to a release from town officials, crews will need to occupy a section of the street at intervals on Monday, Sept. 8 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. While most of the work will be done in the alleyway and back parking lot, some road closures will be unavoidable during excavation and paving.

The sidewalk in front of the two businesses will also be closed throughout the day, and traffic control measures will be in place to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around the work zone.
