Perth to honour late firefighter Brad Fielding with march and visitation Sept. 10

The Town of Perth and Perth Fire Services will honour the life and service of Volunteer Firefighter Brad Fielding with a march and public visitation on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
The procession, led by Perth Fire Services, will begin at noon from Perth Lion’s Hall at 50 Arthur St. and continue down Arthur Street, along South Street, and to the Perth Fire Hall on Rogers Road. After a brief prayer and last call, members will march back to the Lions Hall.
The public is welcome to observe the procession along the route. Visitation will take place inside the Fire Hall from 2 to 8 p.m., with a private family gathering scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Accessible parking will be available at the Fire Hall, with overflow parking at 2000 Rogers Rd., 96 South St., and 50 Arthur St.
Fielding, who died suddenly on Sept. 2, was born and raised in Perth and joined the fire department in 2022. He followed in the footsteps of his father and uncle, both retired firefighters, continuing what town officials described as “a proud family legacy of courage, sacrifice, and community service.”
In his honour, flags at both Town Hall and the fire hall were lowered to half-mast last week.
Friends and community members are invited to share memories and condolences through Brad’s online tribute wall.
