Mississippi Mills resident charged with fraud over $5,000

A Mississippi Mills woman has been charged with fraud following a Lanark County OPP investigation.

Police say the investigation began in November 2024 after a local business flagged a series of suspicious transactions spanning 15 months, starting in August 2022.

As a result, Eileen Campbell, 45, of Mississippi Mills Township, was charged on Sept. 18 with fraud over $5,000.

Charges have not been proven in court.

She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Oct. 20.
