Break and enter investigation in Montague leads to firearm charges for North Grenville resident

Lanark County OPP have charged a man following a break and enter at a storage facility in Montague Township.

Police say officers were called to the site on Sept. 28 just before 12:30 p.m. A 29-year-old from North Grenville was arrested.

He is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, break and enter, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Sept. 29.

Police say the name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
