Almonte man charged with forcible confinement after intimate partner violence investigation

Lanark County OPP have charged a man following an intimate partner violence investigation in Almonte.

Officers began investigating on Sept. 28, 2025. A 33-year-old man has since been charged with forcible entry, forcible confinement and mischief.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth at a later date.

Police say the name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
