Section of OVRT in Almonte to close Oct. 16 for maintenance

A section of the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail (OVRT) in Mississippi Mills will be closed Thursday, Oct. 16, to allow equipment access for scheduled maintenance.

According to a media release from Lanark County the municipality that the closure will affect the stretch between Main Street East and Bridge Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pedestrian and traffic control measures will be in place, and detour signage will direct trail users along Union Street South to bypass the affected area.
