Construction projects to be aware of in Carleton Place over the coming week

Drivers in Carleton Place can expect to see several projects moving ahead over the next week as construction continues across the town.
At the Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant, blasting and rock excavation will continue, along with forming and rebar installation for the wetwell at the headworks building. Crews will also keep working on the realigned sanitary forcemain for the Water Treatment Plant.
On the Captain A. Roy Brown Boulevard extension and McEachen Drive, crews are scheduled to install utilities for streetlights.
Top-lift asphalt is expected to be paved on both Charles Street and St. Paul Street.
At the Findlay Avenue pumping station, the foundation for the new building has been poured and crews will now work on the floor and pads in preparation for building installation the following week.
Work will also continue at the Industrial Avenue pumping station, both inside the wet well and on the new building.
At the Princess Street pumping station, electrical panel work is set to continue, and crews will move ahead with work on the generator pad.
The town urges residents to avoid active construction areas whenever possible. Those who must travel through the zones are asked to slow down and follow signs or flag crews.
Anyone with questions about the projects can contact the Public Works office at 613-257-2253.
