Menzie Street in Almonte to close Nov. 3–11 for childcare facility construction work

Residents in Almonte are being advised of a temporary full closure of Menzie Street between Ottawa Street and Maude Street that will take place between Monday, Nov. 3 to Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025. The closure is to allow for power installation work at the future site of the Mississippi Mills Childcare Services facility.

During the closure, a temporary pedestrian walkway will remain open, ensuring safe access for those traveling on foot. Additionally, barricades and traffic signage will be in place to guide drivers around the construction zone.

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills is asking residents and commuters for patience and cooperation during the disruption. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes in advance and allow for extra travel time while the work is underway.
