Families in Carleton Place are being invited to lace up their skates and hit the ice for a good cause this February as the town hosts its annual Skate With Your OPP Day, offering residents an opportunity to connect with officers in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

The popular community event will take place Feb. 8, 2025 at the Carleton Junction Community Pad at 42 Moore St., and is designed to bring residents and Lanark County OPP officers together for a fun day on the ice.

Public skating alongside local OPP officers is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by hockey with the OPP from noon to 1 p.m. According to the town of Carleton Place, food and refreshments will be provided on site by the Lanark County OPP, and all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend.

Participants are also encouraged to contribute to a charitable cause by bringing along a non-perishable food donation in support of the Lanark County Food Bank.

No registration is required, and any interested residents are encouraged to attend, skate, play and help give back to the community.
