Lanark OPP charge youth in connection with serious threats

A young person from the Perth area has been arrested in connection with serious threats made toward others, Lanark OPP report.

Police say in a Tuesday, March 24 media release that officers responded to a local school on Monday, March 26 after receiving a complaint about a youth sending communications threatening harm to others.

As a result of the investigation, a boy has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or serious bodily harm. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Police say the name of the accused will not be released as the accused is a young person.
