Mighty Machines fundraiser rolling back into Carleton Place next month

Giant dump trucks, heavy large-scale equipment and emergency vehicles will once again roll into Carleton Place next month as the popular event “Mighty Machines” returns for another day of hands-on fun and fundraising.

Hosted in support of Carleton Place Childcare Services, the annual fundraiser invites families to get up close with large construction equipment, specialty vehicles and other “mighty machines” while enjoying activities, food vendors and community entertainment throughout the day.

According to a release from the Town of Carleton Place, the event has become a beloved annual attraction for local families, particularly for children interested in getting up close and personal with construction equipment, trucks and emergency vehicles.

Town officials say attendees can expect a wide range of attractions this year, including heavy machinery displays and emergency vehicles as well as local vendors, a barbecue, bake sale and family-friendly activities to enjoy.

Funds raised during the event will go back into the community, directly supporting childcare programming and classroom enhancements for children enrolled in the organization’s infant, toddler, preschool and school-age programs. According to the release, the fundraiser helps improve learning environments and educational experiences while also giving families an opportunity to engage with the community in a fun and interactive setting.

Mighty Machines event will take place Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3 Francis St. in Carleton Place. According to organizers, the event will run rain or shine, with a minimum cash donation of $2 per family.
