As Ontario celebrates Seniors Month this June, the Town of Carleton Place and Carebridge Community Support are planning for the future by asking residents to help shape programming at the Station Active Living Centre (SALC).

Town officials, in partnership with Carebridge, have launched an online community survey aimed at gathering feedback from local seniors and other residents about the programs, activities and services offered through the centre.

The Station Active Living Centre in Carleton Place serves as a community hub for older adults, offering a variety of recreational, educational and social programs designed to promote wellness, independence and community engagement.

In a release issued on Friday, June 5, 2026, town officials say the input gathered will help guide future planning and ensure SALC programming continues to meet the evolving needs of older adults in Carleton Place and surrounding communities.

The survey invites participants to share what programs and activities they currently enjoy but they can also identify new opportunities they would like to see introduced and provide suggestions on how the centre can continue supporting health, social connection and active living. According to the release, feedback collected through the survey will help inform future programming decisions and support long-term planning for seniors services in Carleton Place.

“Whether you currently participate in SALC programs or are interested in joining in the future, your feedback is important,” the town said.

Organizers thanked participating members in advance for taking the time to contribute their ideas and help shape the future of seniors programming in their community.
