Garden enthusiasts, literature lovers and supporters of women’s education will have an opportunity to explore some of the Perth region’s most beautiful properties this summer for a good cause. The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Perth & District has announced the return of its Third Annual Home & Garden Tour, a self-guided fundraising event that helps fund scholarships, literacy programs and community initiatives.
Taking place July 11, 2026, the tour will feature eight private gardens and four unique homes in Perth and the surrounding area, each inspired by the timeless themes and settings of literary classics, according to a release from CFUW.
“This event highlights the power of community generosity, bringing residents together to invest in lifelong learning and local creativity,” the CFUW shared.
Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the tour invites visitors to spend the day exploring carefully curated properties while enjoying live music, art displays and a scenic picnic lunch along the Tay River. The event aims to combine beauty, creativity and community spirit while raising funds that directly benefit local women, children and educational programs.
According to the organization, funds raised through the tour will contribute to CFUW Perth & District’s Education Awards Program, which provides financial assistance to local women pursuing post-secondary education.
Proceeds from the event will also support summer literacy programs offered through local libraries and other educational and advocacy initiatives throughout the region.
