Third annual Buttertart Festival returns to Carleton Place market this Saturday

Buttertart lovers will want to arrive early to the Carleton Place Farmers’ Market this Saturday as it hosts the third annual Buttertart Festival, bringing hundreds of homemade treats and bold flavours to downtown Carleton Place.

The popular event will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 7 Beckwith Street when market vendors will line their tables with freshly baked butter tarts, offering both traditional and unique twists on the popular dessert.

According to event organizers, visitors can expect a plethora of local vendors selling a selection of homemade tarts with flavours and creative combinations to satisfy every palete.
