Overnight paving on Pine Grove Road continues this week as resurfacing project continues

Drivers travelling along Pine Grove Road this week should be prepared for potential minor delays as paving operations move into the next phase of the road improvement project.

In a release issued on Monday, July 21, 2026, the Town of Carleton Place advised residents that Thomas Cavanagh Construction Company Ltd. would be commencing overnight asphalt paving work on Pine Grove Road between Ferguson Falls Road and Lanark 7th Concession beginning that evening.

Town officials noted that work will continue overnight on both Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23, with crews on site from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, weather permitting.

The paving has been scheduled during overnight hours to reduce disruptions for motorists and ensure “minimal impact to daytime traffic,” according to the release.

While construction is underway, one lane of traffic will remain open and a pilot vehicle will escort motorists safely through the work zone.

“Motorists are reminded to exercise caution, follow signage and flagging personnel, and expect minor delays,” Public Works Manager Sam Poole said. “The County appreciates your patience and cooperation.”
