Perth Night Market returns Sept. 12 with more than 120 vendors, live entertainment and family fun
One of Perth’s signature free community events is set to return this fall, bringing thousands of visitors to the historic downtown core for an evening of shopping, entertainment and local flavour.
The Perth Night Market has become one of the town’s premier tourism events, drawing in thousands of residents and visitors alike and transforming the downtown core into a vibrant open-air marketplace.
Taking place on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the event will feature more than 120 artisans, food vendors, performers and local businesses, offering handcrafted goods, tasty bites and unique gifts, according to a release from the Town of Perth issued on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
“The Perth Night Market has become a tradition for so many people, and every year we look for new ways to make the experience even more memorable,” said Kathryn Jamieson, the Town of Perth’s manager of tourism and culture. “From talented local artisans and musicians to unique family activities and delicious food, the Perth Night Market is a wonderful celebration of everything that makes Perth such a vibrant community.”
Visitors are encouraged to make the most of their evening by exploring Perth’s wide array of restaurants, cafés, pubs, and specialty shops and boutiques, many of whom will have extended hours for that evening only.
Live entertainment will fill the streets with music and dancing over the course of the evening, with performances by Rockabilly Joe, King of the Swingers, Mike Creech, Ompah Dom, the Rideau Cloggers, and a lively Bollywood dance performance led by Kuljit Sodhi.
Animal lovers and families with curious little ones can enjoy a petting zoo hosted by Stealing the Bloom Farm and an educational Grey Rat Snake demonstration presented by Murphys Point Provincial Park.
To help accommodate the large crowds expected, town officials shared they will once again offer a free shuttle service, with pickups scheduled from Algonquin College Perth Campus and Giant Tiger. Various road closures will also be in effect during the event to create a safe, pedestrian-friendly space for all.
