An Ottawa man is facing several charges after a vehicle crashed into the porch of an Almonte home and the driver allegedly fled on foot on Monday evening.

Lanark County OPP say officers responded to the collision on Martin Street South just before 7 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Before officers arrived, police received a second call about a man near the hospital who was allegedly attempting to gain access to another vehicle before again running away, according to the release.

Police located the suspect a short distance away, and determined he was also the driver of the vehicle from the first call.

The man was transported to hospital for minor injuries obtained in the collision.

Nathan Oram, 25, of Ottawa, has been charged with:

·        Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

·        Assault

·        Mischief under $5,000

Charges have not been proven in court.

Police say the accused was released from custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 16, 2026

“If you have any information, or any relevant dashcam/security camera video, contact the Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E261190352,” the release concludes.
