Puzzle lovers in Carleton Place will soon have a new way to celebrate their community, with a locally inspired jigsaw puzzle set to launch just in time for the holiday season.

According to an announcement by the Town of Carleton Place on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, the Carleton Place Information Centre Gift Shop will soon sell a new puzzle featuring some of the town’s most recognizable landmarks and scenery.

Created by artist Daniel Krecklewich, the 504 piece puzzle design showcases iconic Carleton Place sights and destinations. It is expected to officially launch in October 2026.

According to Ruby MacMillan, Tourism Development Coordinator with the Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce, the design was created and refined through a collaborative process.

“The idea for the puzzle was a joint effort between Jackie Kavanagh and Brigitte Gall of The Occurrence,” MacMillan told Lanarkist. “The Occurrence found artist Daniel Krecklewich and commissioned him to do the artwork for the puzzle itself, and both myself and Jackie provided him with tips, changes needed and edits as we furthered the design process.”

MacMillan said The Occurrence will manufacture the finished product using the completed artwork that was recently previewed to the public through the Carleton Place Scoop newsletter.

Due to what town officials describe as a “limited supply,” residents and visitors are encouraged to reserve a copy ahead of the official release.

Pre-orders are now being accepted by contacting the Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce Tourism Office at tourism@cpchamber.com or by sending a direct message to Carleton Place Tourism on Instagram or Facebook.
