Construction work connected to the County Road 29 Watermain project is continuing within Gemmill Park, affecting part of the park’s disc golf course and walking trail.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the Municipality of Mississippi Mills said Disc Golf Basket No. 9 and a portion of the walking trail in the construction area will be impacted until further notice.

The County Road 29 Watermain Project is part of an ongoing effort to improve municipal water infrastructure, helping ensure reliable water service for the community while supporting future growth.

This is not the first time in recent months that Gemmill park users have been impacted by County Road 29 construction efforts. As previously reported, the municipality began tree removal on Monday, July 13 in a small section of Gemmill Park, primarily along the access road leading to Well 6.

This week, park users are asked to exercise caution near the work area and follow posted signage while construction is underway.

Municipal officials said they will notify residents once the work has been completed, though they did not provide an estimated date of completion.
