Road closures and traffic delays, week ending Oct. 3, 2026

Motorists across Lanark County can expect another week of construction and traffic delays, with much of the activity concentrated around Highway 15 and Highway 7 near Carleton Place.

On Highway 15 between Franktown and Carleton Place, daytime and overnight construction continues between Perth Road/3rd Line Road and Highway 7. Traffic will be reduced to one alternating lane, with delays of up to 10 minutes possible through Friday, Oct. 2.

Single-lane closures with flagging are also expected along the broader Highway 15 work zone, stretching approximately 10.8 kilometres from just north of Perth Road/County Road 10 to just south of Highway 7.

Highway 7 through Carleton Place will also see several overnight lane closures beginning Monday, Sept. 28.

Eastbound and westbound traffic between Highway 15 and McNeely Avenue/County Road 29 will be reduced by one lane overnight through early Saturday, Oct. 3.

Additional overnight right-lane closures are scheduled in both directions between Highway 15 and the Mississippi River Bridge near Mississippi Road/Lake Park Road.

On Tuesday, Sept. 29, one eastbound right lane of Highway 7 at McNeely Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for an engineering investigation.

In Pakenham, the Five Arches Bridge remains closed for rehabilitation, with a signed detour in place.
