Carleton Place seeking nominations for Ontario Senior Achievement Award

The Town of Carleton Place is once again encouraging residents to nominate outstanding local seniors for the 2026 Ontario Senior Achievement Award.

The award recognizes seniors who, after the age of 65, have made significant contributions to their community or province and town officials are reminding residents to consider putting forward the name of a senior who has made a meaningful contribution within the Carleton Place community.

To be eligible, nominees must be at least 65 years old, currently live in Ontario, and have demonstrated an effort in making their community a better place to live. Individuals cannot nominate themselves, nominate someone who has died, or nominate elected federal, provincial or municipal representatives or political appointees.

Town officials note that the deadline for nomination submissions has been extended to Dec.1. Interested parties can submit a nomination online by registering through the Ontario Honours and Awards Portal.

Questions about the award or the online nomination process can be directed to the Ontario Honours and Awards Secretariat at OntarioHonoursAndAwards@ontario.ca.

More information about the program is available at the Ontario Senior Achievement Award webpage.
