Two Arnprior residents have been charged with second-degree murder after a man was found dead inside a burning vehicle in Mississippi Mills last month.

Lanark County OPP say Lindsay Dolan, 37, and Dylan Zoobkoff, 33, were arrested in Regina, Sask., on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

The arrests come nearly three weeks after police and the Mississippi Mills Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in a wooded area off Ramsay Concession 12 shortly before 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 11.

A 37-year-old Mississippi Mills resident, whom police identified as Colin Campbell, was found dead inside the vehicle.

Police later announced the death was being investigated as a homicide.

Dolan and Zoobkoff, both of Arnprior, have each been charged with second-degree murder and indignity to a dead body.

Charges have not been proven in court.

Both remain in custody and were scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Friday, Oct. 2.

OPP say the arrests were made with assistance from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Winnipeg Police Service, Regina Police Service Major Crime Unit and Regina Police Service Tactical Support Team.

The investigation is being conducted by the Lanark County OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. OPP Forensic Identification Services is also assisting.
