Smiths Falls seeks local photos to appear in 2025 calendar

Smiths Falls is inviting local photographers to “hit me with your best shot.”

A photo contest launched by the town is looking to find the 12 best photos of Smiths Falls for the 2025 municipal calendar. A media release explains that the 12 photos will be selected through an evaluation process by the Economic Development and Tourism department. The photographers will each receive $50 in “Downtown Dollars,” as well as a photo credit in the calendar.

Those who would like to participate can submit their photos here. Each photographer is allowed to submit a maximum of 10 images. Images of landscape, nature and architecture, public art, icons, heritage sites or community activities in Smiths Falls are highly encouraged. If your submission is selected for the 2025 calendar, you will receive an email from the town advising you on when to collect your Downtown Dollars at Town Hall.

The contest will run until Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 4:30 p.m.
